Aaron put his hand over hers and sighed. "Because, that's where I belong. You have a life ahead of you. I've got nothin'. For your own good, you shouldn't be here."

Charlotte held his hands tighter. "Don't say that. You have plenty ahead of you, now that you're free." she smiled warmly. "You even got a job."

Aaron kissed her hand lightly. "You're too nice. But you don't know my that well. I won't stay around too long. It's just my nature. Trust me it won't be long before I screw up somewhere."

Charlotte hugged him. "Please, Aaron, don't do anything you'll regret." she almost begged. "I don't want to see you in a cell in Azkaban."

Aaron was startled but reluctantly returned the hug. "I can't promise that, I'm sorry." He whispered into her ear. The harsh reality hit him and Aaron stood up suddenly. It just wasn't like him. "I'm sorry. I truly am. You should go. You've got somebody waitin' for you at home."

Charlotte gazed at him confused. "You don't want me here?" she asked. "Lucas isn't home." she said.

"No I do.." Aaron muttered. He looked at Charlotte with a pained gaze. "You bein' around me. It can't ever work and I don't want to hurt you."

"Fine." Char muttered. "I'll go, if you want me to." she said sadly. Charlotte kissed him lightly on the lips and smiled. "Don't get into trouble." she warned and apparated away.

Aaron sighed the second Charlotte was gone. He turned and punched the nearest wall before sinking to the floor. "Dammit. You're such an idiot." He muttered to himself, running his hands through his hair.
